Enquiries that do not become client work: up to 12 months after our last contact.
Client contracts, project records, meeting notes and correspondence: up to six years after the client relationship or project ends.
Invoices, payment and accounting records: at least as long as required by HMRC, generally five years after the relevant 31 January tax-return deadline; we may retain them for up to six years for consistency with our business records.
Complaints and claims: up to six years after the matter is resolved, or longer where a legal claim requires it.
Website analytics and cookie information: for the period set by our cookie settings and service providers, and only for as long as needed for the stated purpose.
When information is no longer required, we delete it securely or anonymise it.
Who we share information with
We may share personal information only where necessary with:
website hosting, email, cloud-storage and other technology providers acting on our behalf;
professional advisers, such as accountants, insurers or solicitors;
HMRC, the Information Commissioner's Office or other regulatory authorities where required; and
other organisations where we are legally required to disclose information.
We do not sell personal information.
International transfers
Some providers may process or store personal information outside the UK. Our website is hosted by Squarespace, Inc. in the United States. Squarespace states that transfers from the UK to the United States are protected through its certification under the UK Extension to the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. Where another transfer mechanism is required, appropriate contractual safeguards are used.
